Food habits of husky:
Siberian Huskies are sturdy animals and used to the extreme climatic conditions so they hardly find their foods. They struggle severely to get some food in the snow. Long back Siberian huskies were introduced as working sled dogs, they used to carry and transport from one place to another. Huskies are super energetic, active and have a quality of recovering from difficulties. They are perfect companion dogs until and unless u lives in a humid climate which troubles them a lot. This particular breed runs like crazy, a proper fencing would help your dog be within the premises and control the wild side of them. Now let’s discuss about the eating habits of Siberian huskies. When it comes to food they become extremely picky Siberian huskies never prefer the same menu for everyday diet. Their diet chat has to have variety and they have frequent mood swings about eating. They would like to survive without food for couple of days but would not touch the food if they are not in a mood of eating or don’t like the food and it doesn’t affect majorly in their health until they skip it for weeks.

FOOD REGIME
When you are bringing a Siberian husky puppy make sure you ask your breeder that which food he used feed the puppy. You can feed your puppy according to your choice, but do not make a rapid change in his food habit. Siberian husky takes atleast two weeks to get habituated with the new food regime, thus serve the food of your choice at a slow pace.
• 3-5months- get a measuring cup and serve them one cup thrice daily in case of commercial dry foods. In case of homemade consult with a vet to decide the quantity according to their body weight.
• 5-8months- As they reach their teenage increase the amount of their food but curtail the number of times. Gradually your husky will avoid the third meal by himself only, thus provide them 1.5-2 cups twice per day.
• 1 year- Now they are becoming a man or a lady, try to substitute their dry foods with the wet foods, it would be digested easily by them in long run.
